Feed Health Snapshots & Disapproval Alerts
See the full picture of your feed quality over time, and get notified the moment something goes wrong.
Today we're shipping two features merchants have asked for since launch: historical feed health tracking and proactive disapproval alerts. Together they give you continuous visibility into feed quality instead of finding problems after campaigns stop performing.
What's New
Feed Health Snapshots
Every time your feed runs through the optimize and generate pipeline, NextFeed now saves a health snapshot. Each snapshot records:
Total products processed
How many products went through the pipeline in each run
Warning and error counts
Issues broken down by severity so you can prioritize fixes
Optimization and generation stage details
See which stage introduced or resolved issues
Access snapshots from the new Feed Health page in your dashboard. The page shows a trend chart of your health score over time, making it easy to spot when quality started dropping and correlate it with changes to your feed rules or source data.
Disapproval Alerts
Feed health snapshots tell you what happened. Disapproval alerts tell you what's happening right now. When the feed analyzer detects issues that could lead to Merchant Center disapprovals, you'll see an alert in your dashboard and receive an email notification.
Dashboard Alert
Real-time notification banner in the feed health page with a direct link to fix the issue.
Email Notification
Summary email when new disapproval-risk issues appear, so you can act even if you're not logged in.
Improved Feed Channel Analyzer
We've upgraded the Feed Channel Analyzer with smarter issue categorization. Issues are now grouped into:
- Critical — Missing required attributes, invalid prices, broken URLs that will cause disapprovals
- Warning — Suboptimal attributes like short titles, missing GTINs, or low-quality images
- Suggestion — Optimization opportunities like adding additional product types or improving descriptions
Improvements
- Faster feed builds — Build times reduced by 15-25% for feeds with more than 10,000 products through optimized column mapping
- Better Shopify sync resilience — The Shopify sync job now handles rate limits more gracefully with exponential backoff instead of fixed-interval retries
- Sidebar navigation polish — Active states and hover feedback are more visible across both light and dark themes
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where optimization rules created with "contains" condition on numeric fields could produce incorrect matches
- Fixed dark mode contrast issues on the feed channel analyzer detail page
- Fixed pagination on the blog article listing page returning incorrect results after search
